At Middleburg Martial Arts what we hold dear are the opinions of our student's parents and family members.
The following testimonials are from some of our Family and Friends of Middleburg Martial Arts Students:

Aidan is in Pre-K and has struggled to sit still and focus. What I appreciate most from karate right now is the focus it places on these two challenges. When he is still and stays focused, he is rewarded and feels good about his success. At the beginning (4 months ago), he could not make it through a class. He still has ups and downs, but he has improved tremendously, and I attribute this to the kind and consistent efforts of his teachers here at the studio. Tang Soo!                    ----Janie

The thing I like best about Middleburg Martial Arts is the discipline and the family-type atmosphere. The staff and instructors really care about the students. Not only do the students receive instruction to earn their belts, they also learn to be leaders.
-------Lisa

I like Middleburg Martial Arts because of the family-type atmosphere. My child has learned so much. She has way more self-confidence that she did before.

In 3 short months, I have seen a dramatic improvement in Zach’s confidence level. I know it is because he is proud of the karate that he is learning at Middleburg Martial Arts. Thanks!          -----Kim, Parent

The instructors are very versed at what they teach and are excellent with the younger students.     -----James

The things I like best about Middleburg Martial Arts is the structure, safety, ethical, and the kids (Junior Instructors) are good. Dylan has been more motivated and looks forward to his karate achievements. ----Michelle

I am a first grade teacher at Wilkinson Elementary School in Middleburg. I enrolled my son Jessie at Middleburg Martial Arts to help him have more self-esteem and to get him to come out of his shell a little bit more and also to defend himself when necessary if attacked.
~ Christina -- Mother of Jessie

I am the PE teacher and athletic director at Lakeside Jr High. I have two kids here at Middleburg Martial Arts, one is five and one is seven. They both have been here since age five. Lauren, I think might have started before then when she was four one summer. I have had them here now three years year-round including the summer program. They are a wonderful place for these kids to be at to learn respect, to develop their coordination and also all aspects to their respect towards adults and others.
~Coach Patterson - Father of Tate and Lauren

My son goes here his name is Josh Brown he has been taking karate bout four and a half years and he has been doing real well in school with his grades. I just love the school, it not only teaches him to fight. It also teaches discipline. They also know that it is a privilege to take karate and not to come in and hurt but it’s also for self defense. And like I said again it’s about discipline and I really enjoy the school and Ms. Jan is really sweet.
              ~Myra  – Mother of Josh

I enrolled Nikki here because I knew he needed something because he has a lot of energy and he’s not very focused. I need him to get into a hobby, something physical because he’s a boy and has so much energy and I decided karate after coming and speaking with everyone here I thought that this would be best fit  and he loves it absolutely loves it. As far as him he has become very respectful has confidence and is a little cocky now but overall I see him as a blossoming personality and he seems to be growing. It encourages him and gives him guidelines that children need.         ~Kathy  – Mother of Nikki

My daughter Mikeala has been coming here for about a year and a half and when she first started coming here she was very shy and introverted. Since she’s been here she’s been coming out of her shell a lot, doing things I never imagined her doing. She has more confidence in school and she sings in church, and performing in a talent show which she never would have done before. This has been a really great thing for her and she really enjoys it.
~ Keely  – Mother of Mikeala

My daughter Ashley just tested for her black belt. She started here I think back in June of 2005 and at that point in time she was a little shy and didn’t know that much about karate but over the years she has progressed. She has learned more self confidence.
  ~Alan  – Father of Ashley

Since Zach has started karate he has gain a lot of confidence he has been more helpful around the house and he’s been more positive all around. He has a more positive attitude and he loves coming here he enjoys it and looks forward to coming and is very excited about excelling    ~Carolyn  – Mother of Zach

When Nathan started coming here he was really shy he would get bullied a lot and now he seems to have more self confidence and is more confident in who he is and things that he does and that is the biggest thing with him, he doesn’t take things to heart.
~Amanda  – Mother of Nathan

My son is Antonio  has been doing karate now for almost three years it’s been wonderful for him. We put him in to build up his confidence and strength and wow has he come a long way, he really really has and we are very proud of him. We are really happy with the school, great school, great school. If you are thinking about putting your kid in karate, if you have a self-esteem issue, or a self-confidence issue Middleburg Martial Arts will really bring them up.
 ~Mary  – Mother of Antonio

Ever since my daughter started here her father and I have noticed a vast improvement she now says yes ma’am no ma’am and does her chores without being prompted. She’s opened up; she had always been very shy, very very withdrawn. She’s actually gone up to kids her own age says hi and introduces herself. We were having a little bit of financial trouble and she went in here room and saved up all her allowances, everything she had and brought me her jar and told me that I could have it because she didn’t need it. It was amazing; I don’t think she would have ever done that before. Her improvement has been amazing.
  ~Bobbi  – Mother of Beth

It has basically given him a boost in his confidence.
~Travisa  – Mother of Matthew

My oldest daughter just started Mixed Martial Arts at Middleburg Martial Arts. She has given forth tremendous effort. She has more confidence. She feels better about who she is. That makes life at home a lot easier for us along with knowing they are making the right choices down the road.                                            ~ Sonja-- Mother of Sarah

Josh makes good grades, he is a straight A student and I think that karate helps keep him disciplined and grounded. Karate focuses on other areas not just focused on being a black belt but on other areas too. Josh excels in other areas too which is another reason why I like the school also that it is not based on fighting and is based on sportsmanship.
~ Myra  - mother of Josh

My son Ty takes karate here at Middleburg Martial Arts and since he’s been going here he’s been doing much better in school. He is not as active as being a “bad kid” he used to pick on everybody. It helps him control his anger. It keeps him from fighting back when other kids pick on him. His determination is to be the same as Grandmaster Shin which I would push him to do if that’s really what he wants to do.                         ~ Alvin  – Father of Ty

I have two children who attend Mixed Martial Arts and since joining a year ago my youngest son has improved his grades considerably and his attitude is remarkable at home. He’s much more caring, and gives more thought to what he wants to accomplish in life. It gives him more structure in everything he’s doing
~Sonja - Mother of Brandon and Sarah

He has worked very hard in the classroom; grades are a big part of this program. It has been a great asset to our family.    ~Traci  – Mother of Timmy

The grades are good. AJ is an A student. He has never got a B, not to say he won’t, but he never has and he is in fourth grade right now. Anna’s grades are good she is just starting kindergarten and she is doing very well. Middleburg Martial Arts encourages kids to get good grades                          ~Linda  -Grandmother of Anna and AJ

My son Dylan  attends Middleburg Martial Arts. The reason he attend Middleburg Martial Arts is because I had him at the YMCA at the school for the past two years and when he was there I felt as if he had no discipline and every time I got there he had books missing out of his backpack. So we tried out Middleburg Martial Arts hoping it would be a great thing and it was. Ever since he’s been here he’s been great everything about him has been so much better, his attitude, school and his goals. Everything about him has just been so much better.
~ David  – Father of Dylan

Why my family chose Middleburg Martial Arts besides the afterschool care, we are able to have my son learn self-defense. It has also helped him with his behavior in school his grades have improved and is much more disciplined.            ~Beth  ~ Mother of Tripp

From the beginning me and my husband chose Middleburg Martial Arts because we thought it would be a good place for Jodi to be after school. We found out it was the best decision we made. It is not just a Day Care it has been a place for her to grow. She has learned respect not only for her parents and adults but also her peers and the higher level students even those younger than her. She is a straight A student and continues to keep her grades at that level.
~ Lisa  – Mother of Jodi

My son Gavin attends Middleburg Martial Arts we came down here from Virginia and wanted him to make new friends since he was really shy. Since we have been at Middleburg Martial Arts he has gained confidence and manners. Before he was in a day care that all they did was watch cartoons and not really interact and it was as not fulfilling and rewarding as Middleburg Martial Arts. I could not be happier than I have been with Middleburg Martial Arts. Gavin has been so happy here. I am so happy I made this choice.
 ~Rebecca  – Mother of Gavin

I would not trade our experience with Middleburg Martial Arts for anything. Chad has always been good but he’s been better and more focused. And he got invited into the clubs here that have helped him excel. I love this place.     ~Joan  – Grandmother of Chad

I signed my son up for leadership club because I thought it was important for him to continue to grow in karate. His self confidence has also improved greatly.
Melissa ~ Mother of Cameron

In the three and a half years Matthew has been here his confidence has improved greatly. He has become a great mentor to other student because of being invited into masters and then leadership club.
Travisa  ~ Mother of Matthew

I have watched Anna and AJ grow, learn and make friends. They have grown so much while being here Middleburg Martial Arts is just the best place for kids to come and learn things like discipline and politeness.
~Linda  - Grandmother of Anna and AJ

Martial arts has helped with school and with discipline, everyone is a friend to her. People and instructors are very nice here at Middleburg Martial Arts.
~ Jamie  – step-father of Hannah

Ashley has learned how to respond to people who are aggressive toward her in school and has learned discipline and perseverance. ~Alan  – father of Ashley

Taylor has been in the program for two years. We put her in the program to help with discipline and confidence. Her grades have improved along with doing her chores at home.
~Michelle - mother of Taylor

My daughters have enjoyed martial arts here. They have set goals and understand what goals are. Comparing to a daycare, this is not a daycare this is LIFEcare. As a community we have seen how children can’t even walk home from school alone, this has prepared them for if something were to happen. ~ Anita -- mother of Tara and Asia
