THEME OF THE MONTH

All this month we will be working on our “Self Image.” How we perceive ourselves is usually how the world sees us. This month we will be handing out blank face sheets we are asking all the students to fill the faces with wonderful things about themselves and turn them in to their instructor during class.

AMP STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Chad Campbell you should be proud. You are this month’s AMP Student of the Month. Chad has been with us for a long time, he is always polite and super helpful. He is one of our newest Black Belts and is truly a role model for the other students. Great job Chad!

EASTER BUDDY DAY

Hop to it! We will be having an Easter themed Buddy Day on 4/13 and 4/14. We will be doing Plyometrics, which is a lot of hopping and jumping. If you bring a friend you will get a filled Easter egg prize as well as get to do some ninja stars with prizes or consequences. Remember your friend must have a parent present or signed permission slip.

CLUB THEME

Clubs will be working on Breaking and staff as well as sparring and contact sparring this month. All students who need to break or spar on their test (orange w/white stripe 7^th GUP) in May need to stay after with club to work on these skills. Leaders will be doing staff sparring on 4/1 and Masters will get to do Extreme Creativity on 4/29.

UNIFORMS AND CLASSES

Just wanted to remind everyone that if you are a green, brown or red belt you do need to have trim on your uniform. Everyone needs to have the proper patches. Please also make sure you are in you proper class for you rank. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Future Black Belts

Just a reminder to all students who are going to be testing for Black Belt in the future. (which we hope is all of you!) If you are getting close, remember that you need to make sure you are participating in region events, helping out at demos and taking care of everything you are responsible for. You want to be known in the region before you test so the panel has seen you before. The more demos you participate in the more practice you will get. If you have any questions please feel free to ask about your duties and responsibilities.

SUMMER CAMP

We are already accepting reservations for our Summer Camp. School will be out before you know it, enroll your child now to insure that they will have the best summer ever! Special pricing available to current karate students not enrolled in the after school program. Our Summer Camp is fantastic. Your child will get karate, crafts, field trips and so much more. Character Building Sheets

Please remember that if you want to pre-test, you need to have completed a character building sheet. Pre-testing starts on 4/18 and continues through 4/30. Please have your sheets completed before then. Remember that you must complete each task twice and have your parents sign the sheet. The sheets are available in the parents waiting area or ask at the front counter. Remember INTEGRITY Counts!

Please make sure you know your correct forms for the upcoming Tournament. Remember that you need to wear your white dobahk with patches and trim if needed. Please also remember that you need to have a solid belt, no half colors. If you have any questions please ask.

PARENTS CLUB NEWS

                Wal-mart demo on 4/16. Please sign up on the Parents Club board if you would like to help with this event. This starts at 10AM and ends at 2PM. If everyone could volunteer just one hour that would be great!

                Car wash on 4/2 9AM-1PM sign-up at the front counter.
